Welcome to Mockingbird Cabin! New from top to bottom, our home is the perfect spot to take advantage of Central Oregon's limitless activities. Although we have a Bend address, our home is just 7 minutes from Sunriver Resort. It's not in the thick of things but just minutes away if you want them. Fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, boating, biking, hiking -- just some of the activities to keep you busy, or just kick back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet! Plenty of room to park your boat or ATV trailer close to the house. Our home is newly remodeled by my general contractor husband and features many of his personal touches throughout, demonstrating his vision and creativity: the reclaimed rustic-torched trim; cedar shake wall in the dining area; natural live edge slab on the kitchen, bathroom and bar countertops; rustic barn tin behind the wood stove; and the recycled barn wood wainscotting. He also made the fun maple burl slab coffee table, the doug fir dining table and kitchen prep table with a black iron pipe base. Our home sits on just over an acre on a quiet dead end street with few neighbors. Access off of Hwy 97 is a breeze. We are 7 minutes from the Village at Sunriver Resort, approximately 20 minutes from the Old Mill District and downtown Bend, and approximately 30 minutes from Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort. If you are looking to be in Sunriver Resort, this is not the place for you. We are located in a quiet area and away from the densely populated traffic at Sunriver Resort. If you're looking for a combination of peace and quiet with easy access to all the activities that Sunriver Resort has to offer, without breaking the bank, this cabin is the place for you! Since we are on nearly an acre, our location and ample parking provides a great place for those traveling with a boat, ATVs or trailers. The master bedroom has a queen bed and its own bathroom. There is another bedroom with a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds which can sleep 4. Please note that the top bunks are close to the ceiling so it would not be suitable for an adult (especially one prone to sleepwalking) or a young child. There is a full kitchen with a microwave, coffee pot (bring your own coffee), toaster, blender, waffle iron and more (not to mention brand new appliances since this home has just been updated). We also have a washer and dryer for your convenience. No smoking allowed in or around our property. Our son has a genetic immune disorder and his immune system is compromised. No exceptions so please be respectful of this. Also, no pets in or around the property. We are not next to the train tracks but you can hear it in the far distance and does not disturb us. Welcome to the Chalet on the river. This 1700 + square foot retreat with wrap around deck is the perfect year-around get away. Located on the Little Deschutes River, the Chalet features floor to ceiling picturesque windows with views of the back meadow, the Little Deschutes River, and Mt Bachelor. The Chalet features a peaceful master suite, king sized bed, reading nook, private bath and French doors leading to the patio with views of the meadow. The loft can accommodate up to four people with the option to be two separate areas or one large. The loft contains a queen size bed and a futon. The main level offers an inviting living area, fireplace and dining room. Chalet Layout There are 5 steps to enter the main level. The main level includes; kitchen, living room, dining room and a full bath. There are 14 steps up to the loft. The loft level includes; the queen bed, and queen sized futon. There are 14 steps to the basement. The basement level is the master bedroom with a king size bed and full bath. The washer and dryer are also on this level. Additional Information There is a street behind the house ~ 500 feet from the house with the river in between. The street does have cars on it regularly, but we do not notice it during our stay. We've had some guests notice it and others have not. . Although it is all perception, it is worth mentioning as previous guests had different views. Water Crafts/Inflatables ~ There are canoes and SUP’s at the Chalet. However, they are not for guest use. Why? Liability, invasive species permits, correct PFD sizes etc... We do not have any inflatable tubes or rafts due to maintenance of these types of items. There is a Bi-Mart and a Ace Hardware down the street that sells inflatable water toys. Many of the nearby lakes rent both motorized and non-motorized water crafts. BBQ ~ There is a propane BBQ on the deck and BBQ utensils. We do not provide beach towels. Please remember to pack yours. We do not provide condiments. There are spices and oils to cook with.

COMFORTABLE--Pine Tree House was custom-built and is in perfect condition. The living room, dining area and kitchen open onto each other and enjoy ample natural light, a cozy wood stove and a complete audio and video entertainment center. The kitchen contains all of the appliances and equipment that you will need to prepare the most elegant or the most efficient meals. You can eat at a spacious counter or at the large oak table. A gas grill is just outside, off the dining area. The three bedrooms have been carefully decorated with your comfort and pleasure in mind. The 'western' green room has a full-size futon couch and built-in desk for double duty as a den or bedroom. The 'outdoorsy' blue room is furnished with stacked bunk beds and highboy dresser. The 'American Indian' rose room, is beautiful and relaxing with a lodge pole pine queen-size bed and mule dresser, private bath with shower, walk-in closet and video setup. A second full bath with tub and shower is off the hallway. An additional futon couch is in the living room. Featherbed mattress toppers are provided for both futons. Finally, you can enjoy ping pong or foosball in the heated garage accessed through a convenient utility room. In the garage you will also find an ample supply of wood for the stove and bird food for the feeder. Outside, you can relax on the front porch, eat at the outdoor table, or soak in the hot tub--open to the stars and just steps away from the house. CLEAN--Pine Tree House is kept to the highest standard of cleanliness. Guests consistently comment on this important quality. QUIET--Pine Tree House sits on an acre of pine trees bordering Quail Run Golf Course, a PGA tournament site. From the house you can view quail, deer, many varieties of birds and nearby horses.
